Easy Beef Tacos recipe

These tacos are a great dish for the kids, but they are also great for adults. Serve them after a starter of nachos for a lovely Mexican meal.

  • 12 taco shells
  • 500g mince
  • 1 red pepper
  • 100g tomato puree
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp. each paprika, chilli flakes and cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • Guacamole, sour cream, grated cheddar cheese and salsa to serve

Method of Preparation:

  1. Dry fry the mince until browned on all sides and very slightly crispy.

  2. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion, mince the garlic clove and chop the pepper in half, removing the seeds and pith, before chopping the flesh.

  3. Add the onion, garlic and pepper into the pan and cook for 5 minutes or so until softened. Add the tomato puree then add the paprika, chilli flakes, cumin, salt and pepper.

  4. Cook gently for ten minutes or so and then divide between the taco shells to serve.

You can make your own taco shells, but they are widely available ready-made. This recipe serves 6.
