Easy All in One Red Wine Beef Dinner recipe
This super simple dinner is done in one pot, with potatoes, beef, veggies and gravy all ready-made for you. It takes a bit of preparation, but it is well worth it.
Ingredients:
- 1.4kg beef topside roasting joint
- 125ml beef stock
- 125ml red wine
- 2 tbsp. plain flour
- Drizzle of oil
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tsp. dried mixed herbs
- 2 onions
- 6 potatoes
- 6 carrots
- 6 shallots
Method of Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180C.
Slice the onion, peel the carrots and shallots, then halve the potatoes and the shallots and chop the carrots into 1inch chunks.
Sprinkle the beef with the flour. Drizzle oil into a roasting tin and place onto the hob, then brown the beef on all sides - this will take around ten minutes.
Add the wine, water, herbs, salt and pepper and stir well, then put the onion slices around the bottom of the beef. Cover with foil, cook for 3 hours, then add the potatoes, carrots and shallots, re-cover and cook for another hour or until everything is tender.
